Meet ground.net

About the Logo

Symbol of Unity

Because ground.net is an entirely new partnership that has no precedent in the ground handling industry, we want a look that captures this innovative spirit.

The vibrant colours signify our commitment to straightforward, transparent services, while the star shape recalls both the network that allows us to bring our shared benefits to our customers, as well as the "behind the scenes" nature of ground services.

Importantly, the network is made up of individual parts, each symbolized by an arrow. It is among the core beliefs of ground.net that each contributing partner brings their own unique local expertise to the whole, and plays a critical role in the overall partnership. ground.net is your gateway to local experts.

Simplification meets Dedication

At the heart of the ground.net partnership are benefits for our customers. By sharing best practices, knowledge, and harmonised work procedures, we are able to combine both simplification and dedication for our customers. The end result is reduced costs and workload.

Simplicity at the origin

The entire concept of the ground.net partnership originated when we realised that many of the smaller ground handling companies had in-depth and personalized local experience that was not easily available to some of the larger players.

Today, our vision of sharing our skills and knowledge throughout Europe has become a reality.

“

- Dieter Streuli, CEO AAS

Simplification

  • Best practice and knowledge exchange within our multi-station network
  • Simplified administration and contact management
  • Harmonised standards and commercial agreements (SGHAs, SLAs)

Dedication

  • Access to local expertise
  • Local relationships and established contacts
  • Tailor-made processes for local infrastructures
  • Cost-reducing individual incentive models

Sharing Best Practices

AAS visit GH Italia Cleaning

August, 2015

GH Italia shares their know how in cleaning services with AAS. During two days, the two AAS representatives visit the cleaning services on-site, acquire deep knowledge about cleaning procedures, planning processes, equipment requirements and quality standards of the full ISAGO licensed Italian ground handler.

Stephan Schatzmann, Officer Quality, Safety & Security AAS:

"We've learnt a lot during the talks and the showing around and have to admit that we understand a/c-cleaning much better now. Thank you very much for showing us the dos and don'ts of cleaning operations. We are still impressed by the hard work you and your employees do every day.

So thanks to GH Italia for everything you did for us. Hopefully, GH Italia will find the chance to visit us in ZRH, so the exchange of ideas can move on!

We are also happy to see that ground.net is alive. We exchange knowledge and opinions. This is exactly how we can learn from each other and can grow and improve as a network."

Who we are

Aviator was founded in December 2010 when Aviator acquired the Swedish company Nordic Aero, and the two Norwegian companies Røros Flyservice and Norport Ground Handling. In 2014 Aviator acquired the former Servisair and Swissport operations at Gatwick, Birmingham, Newcastle and Helsinki.
